"Health is always wealth, and this juice stall in Houston's Post Market Food Hall includes my go-to smoothie, the Black Mamba. With charcoal being the special ingredient, the smoothie is a detox, but with the flavors from fruits, such as lime and raspberry, the item is savory."

"Hailing from Memphis, The Smoke HTX brings a special flavor to Houston's BBQ scene. I'm a not a big brisket fan, but this spot definitely has made a believer out of me; the tenderness and the bold Memphis flavors of the brisket keep me going back."

"Based on the Bible, this coffee shop serves the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever had in my life. The big homemade cookies are soft and filled with chocolate goodness. Here, I always skip the coffee for the cookies."

J'Bon

"I'm a crawfish fanatic! J'Bon serves authentic Cajun crawfish, where the seasonings are boiled in the inside and not on the outside. Their crawfish is always clean and is a nice size to enjoy. I have to get at least 5 pounds, when patronizing this place."

Butter Funk Kitchen

"Whew! The crawfish étouffée atop dirty rice with a piece of catfish is some good eatin'! Not only that, I love the Watermelon Henny daiquiri; I'm not an alcoholic, but I get a large cup. Also, their crawfish is top notch!"

"With Creole roots, this place is authentic. Their crawfish bread is my top item, especially when it's paired with their gumbo. Also, I get the Under the Table drink, which is similar to a Side Car."

"Here, I created the My SOUTHERN Brand daiquiri, which includes the southern flavors of peach and watermelon. Besides that, I really like the crispy wings, but the Hail Mary of them all is the catfish and fries, with the Cajun corn and the remoulade sauce. This spot is definitely a favorite."

"With two locations in Greater Houston, 3D's Krazy Kitchen serves area favorites like boudin egg rolls and fried catfish, while playing zydeco. For me, I love the fried chicken, which is fried and seasoned to perfection."

"Man, their food is off the chain, and I don't say that a lot about catfish in the city. They have a burger combo, a shrimp combo, and a wings combo. Also, you can get free beer on the weekends. I really like this spot because it has a down home southern feel."
